Common questions about field team tracking and route planning
How can I track my field sales team?
Give each person a phone app that records their location during working hours and asks them to check in at every customer, with a photo or signature as proof. You see everyone on a live map and get a daily report of planned visits against completed ones.
Can field staff fake their location?
Basic apps are easy to fool. A well-built system detects fake-location apps, compares the location with the photo and time taken, and flags visits that do not add up, so supervisors only review the suspicious ones.
Will my staff accept being tracked?
Most do when it is explained honestly: tracking happens only during working hours, and it is used to plan better and to prove good work, not to spy. Data protection laws, including Kenya's, also expect you to tell staff clearly what is recorded.
Does tracking drain the phone battery?
It should not. A well-built app records location more often when the person is moving and rarely when they are standing still, so a full working day does not need a recharge.
What phones does it work on?
Ordinary Android smartphones, which is what most field teams already carry. iPhones can be supported too if your team uses them.
How long until my team is using it?
