Point of sale · SumsPOS

Sales get lost when the internet drops, and the stock never adds up.

A till that keeps selling offline, takes cash, card and mobile money, and updates your stock with every sale.

Every sale counted once, and you always know what is on the shelf.

Does this sound like you?

If two or more of these are true, this is the system you are looking for.

What you get

Built for: Shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants and chains with several branches.

  • Keeps selling when the internet is down, and syncs when it is back.
  • Cash, card and mobile money at the till.
  • Stock updates with every sale, with alerts before you run out.
  • Sales and stock across all branches in one view.

How it works, day to day

  1. 1

    Sell

Scan or search, take cash, card or mobile money, and print or send a receipt, with or without internet.

  2. 2

    Stock moves with every sale

Each sale reduces stock straight away, and you are warned before an item runs out.

  3. 3

    Close the day

Each cashier's takings are compared with what the system expects, so any gap shows up the same day, not at the end of the month.

  4. 4

    See every branch

Sales, stock and cash from every branch arrive in one place for the owner.

How we start

  1. Step 1

    Understand

A short discovery to map your process, risks and goals. You get a written plan and a price for the first phase, and you can stop there if it is not a fit.

  2. Step 2

    Design

Screens and flows tested with the people who will use them, before any heavy building. Changing a drawing is cheaper than changing code.

  3. Step 3

    Build in the open

Working software every two weeks. You try it, give feedback and see exactly where the budget is going.

  4. Step 4

    Hand over and stay

Documentation, monitoring and training for your team, with ongoing support available if you want it.

Questions

Common questions about point of sale that works offline

Can a POS system work without internet?

Yes, if it is built for it. Sales are saved on the device first and sent to the main system when the connection returns, each with a unique ID so nothing is lost or counted twice.

How do I manage stock across several branches?

Use one system where every branch sells from the same stock records. You see each branch's levels in one place and can move stock between branches before one runs out.

Can a POS system stop theft at the till?

No system stops it completely, but a good one makes it visible. Every sale, refund, discount and cancelled item is recorded with who did it, and the daily cash-up shows any gap the same day.

Will it work with the hardware I already have?

Usually, yes. Standard receipt printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers work, and an Android tablet or an ordinary computer can be the till.

Can customers pay with mobile money at the till?

Yes. The payment is confirmed on the till automatically, so cashiers no longer check text messages by hand and fake confirmations do not work.

How quickly can a shop start using it?

A single shop with a clean product list can start quickly. Several branches, or a messy product list, take longer because the stock data needs cleaning first. The discovery tells you which case you are in.
